The Week In Review...Take 3

Now we come to the Cream of the crop in the week review....Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas, everyone! Well, a little belated but the spirit is there.


We had a wonderful Christmas. Things have been tight financially but I Christmas shopped early this year and anyway, the kids really don't care honestly what they get. My kids aren't into electronic toys...they don't watch commercials so they don't "ask" for the "it" toy....they don't even know what the "it" toy was! Anything they get they are thrilled with. And they got a fantastic mix of things...all the aunts & uncles kept it pared down too but regardless, they got lots of things.

Matthew: Jeff Gordon "authentic" racing jacket, nascar racetrack, books, books & more books, knights, dragon & a castle for both boys, metal detector, RC helicopter (that DH apparently thinks was really intended for him!), both board games & outdoor games & Legos, Lego, Legos!

Patrick: A play farm, bigger size Legos with Lego table, the knights & castle for both boys, a toddler race track with race cars, books, pirates, board games, a soccer ball, art supplies.

Don & I: We both got each other pictures of the boys (I took shots for Don and unbeknownst to me, he had his Dad take pictures of the boys for me!). We framed each others pictures and were really happy with them. We are doing some remodeling on our pool bathroom so we got some utilitarian gifts...new fixtures, etc. etc. I got gloves to use for weights at the gym and Don got a gorilla grip tripod for his small camera. We got some clothes & goodies. What do we really need! It was great.

We had a lovely dinner with our good friends, Christine & Stephan, whom are French Canadian & French respectively. They actually provided the whole Christmas meal as a present to us. They cooked, served & cleaned! Now THAT is a present! It was a traditional French Canadian Christmas meal and it was wonderful! Don't ask me what it was but we loved it.

Then we said a prayer, sat back, relaxed and enjoyed our family...which is what this time is really about anyway. Being together & being thankful for the blessings we have been given. Merry Christmas to everyone.
