The "Official" Week in Review...
Take 1.
Busch Gardens.
After having dh's sister visit us for the weekend, we decided to kick of the first week of Matthew's Christmas vaca with a trip to Busch Gardens. We have season passes for Busch Gardens/Sea World but we seem to frequent Sea World more often. We realized we hadn't been to Busch Gardens in over a year...not since Jungala opened up! It was hard to believe it was just 2 days before Christmas since it was in the high 70's, sunny & no chill in the air!
We had a great time & saw all the animals we could want to. We didn't do any rides except for the train around the whole park. The animals were our focus and the boys needs to see certain wildlife was fulfilled. Patrick HAD to see the Clydesdale - he's a horse fanatic. Matthew HAD to see the tigers, rhinos, elephants, hippo....he sort of likes them all. We had fun in the "tiger pop-up" in Jungala...if you don't know what that is....Jungala is a portion of the park that allows you a different kind of up-close view of some of the animals. In the tiger enclosure they have a bubble (for lack of a better word) that comes up from the bottom and you climb on a little ladder & literally "pop" your head up into a windowed bubble to see from inside the tiger enclosure. Sometimes the tiger is lying on top of it! He was right next to it when the boys & I went up but apparently moments before we went up there were two tigers fighting on top of it. DH was watching from across the enclosure to take our picture.
Anyway, our day at Busch Gardens was wonderful and Patrick fell asleep on the way home (around 4:30) and we put him to bed at home and he slept all night long! Poor tired boy!
Here are a few pics of our day!

Great pictures...I'm glad that all of you had a wonderful Christmas season...Actually, still enjoying it, I'm sure!!!
Your pics are awesome! Every time you post pics, I show them to Phil so he can be as convinced as I am that I need a much better camera.
Maybe after the older kids go back to school we can get together for a playdate at BG? Katie hasn't been since October.
