We had our first trip to the local natural spring today - I can't say why we haven't been before...maybe I thought it was different & that it didn't appeal to us or perhaps it just wasn't the right place for their ages before. But I can say it was a hit today & they were just the right ages and it was just the right place.
It was a nice refreshing "old fashioned" swimmin' hole. Matthew tried desperately to catch fish in a bucket - alas, the whole physics & statistics lesson would have been overkill so I just let him try his darnedest.
Patrick slowly worked his way up from not wanting to get his crocs wet to laying on his back in the shallow water and "floating". He loved it.
