Why Is It......

Just wondering...
Why is it....

..that Matthew LOVES tomatoes & tomato sauce but doesn't like ketchup?

..that both boys have no problem putting their heads under water in the pool, but REALLY don't like having their hair rinsed in the tub?? Matthew is much better about this than Patrick now as he's gotten older but he has to dry his eyes on a towel frequently in the tub!

..wearing jeans is like punishment to Matthew?

..Matthew has no problem putting white socks on but always says the "dress" socks (which are the exact same socks but in black) won't go on his foot?

..riding in the car for a long time makes Matthew's "legs exhausted" but running around outside all day doesn't?

..my husband thinks taking all the clean clothes out of the dryer and dumping them out of the laundry basket in a pile on the sofa is actually "helping with the laundry"?

..as soon as we replace one recessed light bulb on the tall ladder in the family room, that within a day another one goes out? I purposely have waited for a few days with just the one burned out to see if another does...but it never does until we've replaced the first. Same for our Master bathroom.

LOL, some of those are really funny! I wonder the same thing on the rinsing the hair. As for the ketchup, maybe he doesn't like vinegar? That's pretty much the only difference between ketchup and tomato sauce.

I always wondered why I liked everything made from tomatoes (ketchup, sauce, soup) but couldn't stand tomatoes themselves. I've only recently been able to tolerate cooked tomatoes in soups.
Emily loves to swim, but can't stand water running over her head. She hates showers and doesn't do a very good job of rinsing the shampoo out of her hair because of her dislike of the water over her head.
When Emily was Matthew's age, she thought wearing anything other than a dress was punishment.
The socks thing probably has more to do with him not wanting to wear the dark socks and he's just making any kind of stink he can to try to get out of wearing them.
Maybe Matthew has restless leg syndrome?
All men are like that.
And the last one you can chalk up to Murphy's Law.
