Wasn't summertime supposed to be "lazy"?
What happened?
I "almost" think the days lately have been busier than the school year. I am so exhausted from yesterday's activities...it's crazy.
Here is what our day was like.
Me - up at 6:00 to make hubby's lunch & pack it, make his breakfast plus prep the kids' breakfast. Take my shower, get dressed and ready for the day.
Get the kids up about 7:30, bathroom, dressed, to table to eat & out the door at 8:20
Drop Matthew off at karate camp at 8:40 and swing by the 'Buck (Starbucks) for "Mommy's Special Something" - LOL
Run an errand for hubby's business
Run to Joann Fabric for some scrapbooking supplies for Matthew's Nascar scrapbook
Run home to make lunch for the boys & pack it as well as put roaster chicken in oven and set delay cook timer.
Pick Matthew up at 11:30 from camp. Drive to St. Joe's Women's Hospital to visit a friend who is pregnant & on bed rest. The boys eat their lunch in the car.
Leave the hospital at 1:30 to drive to USF for 2:00 Speech Clinic
Get finished with Speech at 3:15 and drive back to Brandon. (am on "low fuel" by the way)
Go to hubby's doctor's office to pick up RX - the kind you need written rx for, they can't phone in refill. No time to go by pharmacy now...have to get gas and rush to karate lesson.
Get gas and make it to karate at 4:35 (starts at 4:30).
Leave karate at 5:20 and go to pharmacy to fill hubby's RX...decide to wait the 10 minutes for the meds to be nice to hubby.
Get home at 6:00 and am thankful for the delay cook timer - chicken is all roasted. Just have to cook veggies and get boys to table for dinner at 6:30.
Let them blow off steam & play after dinner until 7:30 and then off to bed. Get them all tucked in at 8:00
Now time to clean kitchen! Put hubby's dinner aside for him - he's working super late finishing this Plant City Cineplex for the grand opening this week.
Finally get ready for bed at 9:00 but check email & get an IM from my dear friend whom I have not talked to in a while. Give in and chat for 15 min before I cut it & head to bed.
To top this - the Clinical Director at USF's Speech Clinic told me she has observed Patrick & recommends speech for him. I actually agree but that means 4 times a week going to USF (if they have room for him this semester)! Yikes!
So much for lazy days of summer

I'm tired just reading all that!!! Take a nap today!
Wow, that was a busy day. Does Patrick still take a nap or does he take short naps in the car between places? Joshua has to be home to take a nap or he doesn't get one. Are you paying for speech at USF or is the state paying for it?
Jeez! That's exhausting. I've had days like that, too, but not on a regular basis.
Whoa, you ARE busy! I hope you do get SOME lazy summer days!
