Patriotism & Yard Work...

Today there were 2 interesting celebrations...both showed the American spirit & were uplifting but for different reasons!

First (and not because it was more important but rather that it occurred first! LOL!), Matthew's class had a celebration of Patriotism in preparation for Memorial Day....they sang patriotic songs, dressed in red, white & blue and performed for the parents. They also presented the Moms with a book they had each made themselves.

Secondly, we demonstrated the American spirit of hard work, pulling together in tough times.....yes, YARD WORK! We helped out our friend, Melodie, with a subtle leaf problem she has! It was dirty and sweaty but gosh dern it...we did it together!

No, Debbie, that's me. It's kind of hard to tell with the sunglasses and hat covering up my face, though.

Plus, Andrea's WAY prettier!

Thanks again, Andrea!

No, Debbie...Melodie looks WAY better --- even covered in dust & leaves! Since I usually end up being the photographer, I am usually not in the pics! LOL!
